Reading the Columns

• Clarity — typical water transparency, from a state monitoring perspective.

• Trophic — the lake's nutrient state. Oligotrophic means nutrient-poor and clear; mesotrophic is moderate; eutrophic means nutrient-rich, with more plant and algae growth.

• HAB — whether harmful algal blooms have been documented.

• Invasive — presence of invasive aquatic species such as variable milfoil. Erosion — shoreline erosion pressure.

• Demand — depth of the buyer pool. Resilience — how the market for that water has held up through downturns.

• Liquidity — how quickly property there typically sells.

• Investment — our overall read.
